I can't even view the Global Address List except to search it and hope it appears. On the PC version of Outlook, apparently you can select People > Ribbon > Send and Receive Groups.īut no such option exists on the Mac. Going to the web app version and the Global Address List is updated there, but I can't get the Mac app to recognize this.Searching for any related files in ~/Library/ to delete. Emptying the cache for the user email inbox.I need to be able to force this process on the Mac Outlook client. We have to wait until the Mac Outlook client updates the Global Address List, which we apparently have zero control over and is an event that happens once every 24 hours at an unknown time. When we search for the mailbox, it doesn't show up because it's relying on the Global Address List, but it hasn't updated yet. I then instruct my team members to go to File > Open > Other User's Folder. I will then add all the users who need access to this mailbox. I cannot, for the life of me, find out how to "force" the Mac Outlook client (currently version 16.44) to either VIEW or SYNC the Global Address List (GAL).įor example, in Office365 Admin I will create a shared mailbox for one of our teams, like "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***." We use Office365 Business Standard accounts. We use Macs, iPhones, and iPads in office.
